Technical Project Manager

We have opportunities for a Technical Project Manager. 

This position is focused on managing, organizing, and administering activities of assigned projects as well as the overall management of key operational metrics such as project health, deliverable achievement, and project/account profitability. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilizes relationships to collect and disseminate information, build support, and secure buy-in for desired objectives.
  • Working with PMO, ensuring all project documentation is created and updated as required.
  • Manages project risks and activities to mitigate and evaluates and negotiates changes in scope, budget and/or schedule with the customer, project team and Sr. Management.
  • Works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Works with senior management to resolve more complex problems.
  • Manages project schedule and performs analysis to ensure that appropriate resources are allocated to the project and milestones are met.
  • Help to drive the importance and sale of support contracts.
  • Provide help to the delivery team to build project handover pack/s. 
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Skills and Abilities  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in delivering Audio Visual and Video Conferencing solutions
  • Ability to produce, read and understand AV system schematics
  • Familiar with Extron, Crestron, Lightware, QSC, Symetrix products
  • Familiarity with Videoconferencing manufacturers such as Polycom, Logitech, Cisco, etc
  • Familiarity with Videoconferencing platforms such as Pexip, MS Teams etc
  • Can accommodate working away from the office
  • Can accommodate working outside of the UK
  • ECS –Electrotechnical Certification Scheme or equivalent
  • Driving Licence required- Clean and full 
  • Mobile working required
  • Evening/Weekend/Foreign Travel/Flexible Working hours
  • Security clearance is desirable or should be achievable  


Education and/or Experience

  • Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 4 years of AV experience

Pre- Sales

Supporting the sales team, presales act as a technical consultant, using drawing packages to design and create a bill of materials,  full system descriptions aiding the sales proposal, and supporting the business as required. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to translate customer requirements into functional scope of works  and create system designs.
  • Review pre-construction design and documentation.
  • Provide assistance with technical design and level of effort needed by estimating hours and highlighting logistical challenges for the sales team to consider while pricing the opportunity.
  • Generate full system descriptions and block diagrams
  • Identify all cabling and miscellaneous material needs.
  • Assist Account Manager with labor and material estimates for projects.
  • Assume ownership of project installation when required.
  • Develop engineering and architectural (RCP/Floor Plan) drawings, calculation, acoustical modeling or other data as required
  • Provide on-going engineering support as needed
  • Meet with vendors/prospective vendors to help evaluate product as requested.

Skills and Abilities

  • Communicate and interact with internal employees, clients and colleagues in a professional and timely manner
  • Proven business writing skills
  • Proficient with test and calibration equipment
  • Support user acceptance testing
  • Ability to diagnose complex system problems
  • Advanced computer skills as required for the design, configuration, and operation of AV equipment
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients and colleagues
  • Valid clean Driver’s License 


Education and/or Experience

  • Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 4 years of AV experience

Installation Engineer

Installation engineers required both North & South of UK to join a fast-growing company. We are a UK leading provider of Audio Visual and Video Conferencing, and Unified Collaboration specialist solutions and expanding rapidly.  This is a great role that would be well suited to an inspiring professional looking to further their career. 


What you will be doing

  • Provide installation Nationwide and some European of clients specified solutions including Video Conferencing and integrated systems.
  • Working closely with the Project Managers and the Installation team to ensure that installations are carried out within the specified time frame and guidelines.
  • Liaising with clients for feedback on installations (signing of handover certificates, Client feedback forms, etc.).
  • Providing regular communication and feedback to the Project Managers regarding specific installations and client issues on site.
  • Ensuring vans are in good working order and stocked with the correct level of consumables.
  • Maintaining a good relationship with clients and project stakeholders,
  • Managing on-site logistics including allocation of labour, ordering consumables, stock control and deliveries.
  • Monitoring installation work to ensure the highest standard is kept through all stages of a project.
  • Carrying out site surveys and providing detailed reports to the project % Sales team to identify risks and make recommendations for the project.

 What you will need 

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Technical understanding of AV and VC equipment, functionality and installation processes advantageous but will be trained.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics.
  • Experience working on construction sites and coordinating AV installations with main contractors and other trades.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Working with new and emerging technologies.
